LINKOPING, Sweden, June 14, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Technology Nexus AB today acquired the Stockholm based PKI firm Blueice Research AB with eleven employees.
The personnel are almost exclusively sales staff. During the spring, Blueice Research streamlined its workforce, which primarily comprises specialists within computer security with an emphasis on PKI solutions, one of Nexus' core business areas.
Blueice Research, which was established in 2000, has gained a good reputation for its proprietary product Multipass, which is used to guarantee communications with Internet services with strict security requirements. Multipass is primarily targeted at the bank and finance sectors, but also towards companies within transport, healthcare, and other sectors. The product's strength is that it offers, in a user- friendly manner, the same high security functions for various channels and platforms, for both hand-held and desktop computers.
"We have long had a partnership with Blueice Research and we know this to be a very capable technical team that we are now supplementing our organisation with. The expertise held by these individuals is in great demand in the market and they will immediately begin working with our PKI projects," said Mikael Jacobsson, CEO of Nexus, and continues:

The acquisition is expected to contribute positively to the company's result already within the current year, even after consideration for goodwill depreciation.
The company will very soon be integrated in Nexus. Vice President Gustaf Malmros is responsible for the integration.
