STOCKHOLM, Sweden, June 25, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Industrivarden is selling its holding, corresponding to 37% of the shares, in the medical technology company Biodisk, for approximately SEK 130 M. The sale will generate a capital gain of approximately SEK 110 M.
Biodisk develops diagnostic testing products, with a focus on tests that measure resistance to antibiotics. Industrivarden has been an active owner of Biodisk since 1992, and the company reported sales of SEK 103 M in its 2000/2001 fiscal year, with very good profitability.
