Vodafone Sweden Lands Major Order from Sweco

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, July 3, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Consultancy company Sweco AB has chosen Vodafone Sweden as its mobile telephony supplier. The agreement will run for five years and covers some 1,400 subscriptions.

Vodafone Sweden's concept, The Wireless Office, will cover 200 of these subscriptions, thus enabling Sweco to replace all fixed telephony at its offices with a single wireless telephony solution, while also keeping all the functions of fixed telephony, such as speed-dial numbers. Sweco expects to provide more of its employees with access to The Wireless Office over the next few years.

"Our Wireless Office concept has been a great success with both large and medium-sized companies. Along with our other solutions in the corporate sector, we can offer Sweco highly flexible, cost-efficient mobile telephony that will allow the company to make its operations more efficient," said Jon Risfelt, President and CEO of Vodafone in Sweden.
