Neoware Products Selected for PCHS-2 Contract

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., July 10, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Neoware Systems (Nasdaq:NWRE), the leading supplier of award-winning software, services, and solutions for the Appliance Computing market, today announced that its products are available on MicronPC's Department of Veterans' Affairs Procurement of Computer Hardware and Software Contract No. V101(93)P-1841 (PCHS-2) and GTSI's Department of Veterans' Affairs Procurement of Computer Hardware and Software Contract No. V101(93)P-1843 (PCHS-2).

The PCHS-2 contract enables the Department of Veterans' Affairs to receive the benefits of easy purchasing and special cost savings. With the addition of this contract, government buyers can now purchase Neoware products from the IBM GSA schedule and PCHS-2, offering a broad choice of contracts for simplified procurement.

Neoware software and thin client appliances let users access virtually any application -- Windows, UNIX, AS/400, Internet, and mainframe-based -- without the cost and administration associated with personal computers. Neoware thin client appliances drive down up-front acquisition and ongoing maintenance costs by allowing users to run applications from servers, not the desktop, and typically having no hard drive, floppy, CD-ROM, fan, or other moving parts which could fail. With Neoware's ezRemote Manager software, system administrators can manage thousands of thin client appliances from a central location, significantly lowering the cost of desktop administration compared to personal computers.

"Being a part of the PCHS-2 contract, Neoware is able to provide our award-winning products to the Department of Veterans' Affairs with simplified purchasing, and with ongoing savings," stated Howie Hunger, Neoware's Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. "Making our products available on the PCHS-2 contract reinforces Neoware's commitment to provide superior products, while saving our customers money."
