American Energy Partners Inc. Changes Name to American Energy Production Inc.; Conflict Over Name in Texas

SAN ANTONIO, July 16, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Communicate Now.com Inc., a Delaware Corporation, applied for a name change with the state of Delaware on June 11, 2002. The Company name change was approved and changed to American Energy Partners Inc. (OTCBB:AMEP). The SEC and the OTCBB approved the name change and also gave American Energy Partners Inc. the trading symbol AMEP.

American Energy Partners Inc. will be evaluating and acquiring oil and natural gas properties in Texas -- this is where the conflict occurs. There is already an oil and gas company with the name American Energy Partners Inc. in Borne, Texas. The Borne, Texas company is a private company that does not trade on any stock exchange.

The Board of Directors of American Energy Partners Inc. (Delaware) has decided to change its name to American Energy Production Inc. AMEP does not want to create a problem for the Borne, Texas company, which has used the business name for seven years.

The name, American Energy Production Inc., has been approved by the Delaware Secretary of State and also by the Texas Secretary of State. The OTCBB has ruled American Energy Production Inc. can continue to use the trading symbol AMEP. Standard and Poor's will allow the Company to keep the same cusip number. No Stock Certificates will have to be exchanged.

American Energy Production Inc. would like to apologize for this oversight and any inconvenience the name conflict caused.
