STOCKHOLM, Sweden, July 23, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Gunnebo:
-- The profit after financial items increased during the second quarter by 13 per cent to MSEK 70 (62). Invoiced sales amounted to MSEK 1,763 (1,726). -- The order intake during the second quarter, adjusted for acquisitions and currency fluctuations, increased by 4 per cent, with Gunnebo Security increasing by 5 per cent. -- Strongly improved cash flow. The operative cash flow, excluding structuring costs, increased during the second quarter by MSEK 72 to a surplus of MSEK 71 (deficit 1). For the first half of the year, the cash flow increased by MSEK 107 to a surplus of MSEK 57 (deficit 50). -- For the January-June period, the profit after financial items matched that of last year, and amounted to MSEK 80 (79). Invoiced sales increased by 7 per cent to MSEK 3,366 (3,132). -- The operating profit before depreciation of goodwill was MSEK 155(154). -- Gunnebo Security reported a further improvement in its result to MSEK 136 (129), while Gunnebo Engineering's result declined to MSEK 39 (43). -- For 2002 as a whole the profit after financial items is still expected to be significantly better than the result for 2001.
