Telelogic Synergy Integrated With Visual Studio .NET to Ease Application Development; Solution Enables Users to Unify Distributed Development Teams

MALMO, Sweden, August 1, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Telelogic (Stockholm Exchange:TLOG), the leading global provider of solutions for advanced systems and software development, today announced support for Microsoft Visual Studio .NET.

As a member of the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Integration Program (VSIP), Telelogic has integrated Telelogic Synergy and ActiveCM(TM) with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET. This seamless integration provides development teams with the power of Telelogic Synergy's enterprise-class configuration management solution from the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET tool suite.

Telelogic Synergy, named the most advanced change and configuration management system on the market by Yphise in its latest industry report, tracks changes and ensures configuration integrity during a software product's lifecycle. This configuration integrity enables parallel and distributed teams to improve productivity and quality. ActiveCM, an optional add-on feature available with Synergy v 6.2, is a complementary user interface that hides and automates approximately 90% of typical user/CM system interactions. By making the system transparent, all the benefits of CM can be easily and cost-effectively realized.

Microsoft Visual Studio .NET is designed for building next-generation Web applications and XML Web services for the Microsoft Windows platform. By allowing applications to share data over the Internet, XML Web services enable developers to assemble applications from new and existing code, regardless of platform, programming language, or object model.

Scalability and Ease of Use

Telelogic Synergy provides the full-lifecycle software development capability required by Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, without forcing developers to switch from tool to tool to satisfy change and configuration management requirements.

"Microsoft is pleased to see Synergy supporting Visual Studio .NET," said Sam Henry, technical product manager for the Developer Platform and Evangelism Division at Microsoft Corp. "Telelogic's Synergy makes configuration management easy and efficient for distributed teams.

"Our vision for Telelogic's configuration management solutions is to make Synergy a key enterprise service," said Ingemar Ljungdahl, chief technology officer for Telelogic. "Configuration management is as important as a bank repository, and Synergy is the secure vault of all company software assets."
