AIR-BERLIN Orders CTT's Zonal Drying System to Entire B737-800 Fleet After Successful Evaluation

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Aug. 23, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Air-Berlin, the German based holiday airline, has after successful evaluation ordered CTT's Zonal Drying(TM) System to their remaining twenty-six (26) B737-800 aircraft. The evaluation was performed, during the spring of 2002, in one of Air-Berlin's B737-800 aircraft.

First installation is due to start during the autumn of 2002.

"It is with great pleasure that we today announce the order from Air- Berlin," commented CTT Systems AB President Torbjorn Johansson. "We have enjoyed working closely with Air-Berlin's engineering department during the evaluation and to prove the effectiveness of our Zonal Drying(TM) System," said Johansson.

"CTT has proved that with the Zonal Drying(TM) System it is possible to cure condensation problems," commented Air- Berlin's Technical Director Siegfried Olivo. "We have experienced everything from wet blankets, corrosion to electrical malfunctions which does not fit in Air-Berlin's long term objective in offering cost effective and safe operations," said Olivo.

The Zonal Drying(TM) System combats condensation in the thermal and acoustic insulation of modern passenger aircraft. It reduces maintenance costs by extending the service life of the airplane insulation. By eliminating accumulated condensation, the system also cuts non-revenue weight which, in turn, leads to significant fuel savings. The Zonal Drying(TM) System helps reduce corrosion and the risk of electrical faults by maintaining a dry environment between the interior trim panels and the aircraft skin.

To date, CTT has the following additional customers for the Zonal Drying(TM) system:
