ESPOO, Finland, Aug. 28, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- TietoEnator Corporation and Syslore Oy have agreed to implement Syslore mCorrection error-correcting fuzzy logic text recognition to the Internet information retrieval system of the PallasPro library system. The solution is already in the pilot testing stage.
mCorrection is a program which, in real time, corrects spelling errors of library system users making database queries. The software is based on a mathematical algorithm, which makes the solution language independent and efficient.
Error correction is a very important feature from the point of view of the user. Nowadays the greatest service problem is considered to be information retrieval, since the correct spelling of a word can be hard to remember and misspellings are common. It is possible to significantly increase the usability of the services by utilizing the error correction program.
