ESPOO, Finland, Sept. 5, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- TietoEnator and Araneum have signed an agreement concerning the acquisition of the Danish web-agency. The deal was announced in July and means that TietoEnator now takes over Araneum's 55 employees as well as its customers including a number of international corporations and representatives of the public sector. The purchase price is 2.1 MEUR.
The acquisition supports TietoEnator's expansion strategy and will strengthen the company's position in the Danish market. TietoEnator will now have approximately 350 employees in Denmark.
Araneum continues under its own name, but as a division under TietoEnator Consulting in Denmark. All the employees and Araneum's existing management team will continue in this new division. Both parties will now focus on optimising the synergy effects of the acquisition.
