Millicom Sells Interest in Mobile Operator in the Democratic Republic of Congo


NEW YORK, LONDON and BERTRANGE, Luxembourg, Sept. 5, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Millicom International Cellular S.A. ("MIC") (Nasdaq:MICC), the global telecommunications investor, today announced that its GSM wireless telephony license in the Democratic Republic of Congo has been sold to a previous joint venture partner, Orton Investment Holdings Limited.
