STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Sept. 23, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Telia Mobile will reduce the interconnection rate in its Swedish GSM network from SEK 0.92 to SEK 0.88 per minute. The new rate will come into effect on October 1, 2002.
Telia Mobile is required to maintain a cost-based interconnection rate for its GSM network. The results of Telia Mobile's annual cost calculation clearly indicate that expenses have decreased and Telia Mobile has therefore decided to lower the interconnection rate.
The price of interconnection charge is the price charged by operators to other operators when they use each other's networks.
