Telelogic DOORS Extends Virtual Workplace

Citrix Software Expands Support for Distributed Teams

MALMO, Sweden, and IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 23, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Telelogic, (Stockholm:TLOG), the leading global provider of solutions for advanced systems and software development, today announced Telelogic DOORS(R), the market-leading requirements management tool, now supports Citrix MetaFrame XP(TM) software from Citrix Systems, Inc.

Telelogic DOORS/ERS has long provided support for remote users and distributed teams through DOORSnet and DOORSrequireIT. With Citrix configurations, DOORS client operations are run directly on the DOORS server; only display details are transmitted through the network. This increases performance for clients on narrow band networks, such as users working in satellite offices, at home or those on the road, visiting customers, while ensuring access to the most up-to-date data.

"Today's workforce is highly mobile, and team members are often far flung. But network access is not always up to par. By offering DOORS on Citrix software, our customers can experience the full power of DOORS in real time, even when using a dial-up network connection," said Ingemar Ljungdahl, Telelogic's Chief Technology Officer. "DOORS support for Citrix helps our customers remain agile and up-to-date, in today's fast paced economy."

"Citrix and Telelogic both have a strong presence in many Fortune 500 companies," said Garry Olah, director, business development programs at Citrix Systems. "By leveraging DOORS on Citrix MetaFrame XP software, our common customers will have access to up-to-date, complete requirements information no matter where they are located, or how they are connected. Determining project status and managing change while working remotely, will be made faster and easier by implementing DOORS in a Citrix MetaFrame XP environment."

DOORS 6.0 SR1 with support for Citrix is available beginning September 23.
