Users Can Access Email from Any Internet-Connected Computer

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., Sept. 26, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- United Online, Inc. (Nasdaq:UNTD), the leading provider of value-priced Internet access through its NetZero and Juno Internet services, today announced the availability of NetZero WebMail for all NetZero Internet service users. With NetZero WebMail, users can read and write NetZero email from any Internet-connected computer, anywhere, at no additional cost.

"NetZero WebMail was launched in response to enormous demand from our users, who want the convenience and flexibility of being able to access their NetZero email from any Internet connection, through any ISP, anywhere, anytime," stated Brian Woods, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of United Online. "Email continues to be the most popular Internet activity worldwide and has become a primary means of communication. The introduction of NetZero WebMail is yet another powerful user benefit in the NetZero arsenal of services."

To access NetZero WebMail, users simply go to a dedicated Internet site (http://www.netzeromail.com) and enter their user name and password. After this sign-in process is complete, users will find all new messages in their inbox, have the ability to compose and send new messages and reference their online address book. Users can use either Internet Explorer(tm) or Netscape(tm) to access NetZero WebMail. NetZero WebMail may not be available to free users if they have exceeded their allowable monthly usage.

NetZero offers both a value-priced Internet service priced at $9.95 a month -- roughly half the price of other providers such as America Online, MSN and Earthlink -- as well as a limited free ad-supported service.
