Scandiaconsult Expands Further Through Acquisition of Unico AS in Norway


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Oct. 9, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Scandiaconsult (Stockholm:SCC) is strengthening its operations in Norway through the acquisition of Unico AS. Unico has 60 employees and works within the housing and industrial sectors as well as with in industry, building planning and project development. The turnover for 2001 amounted to about SEK 50 million. The company, established in 1969, is located in Kristiansand and in recent years has participated in several acclaimed Norwegian building projects such as Schibsted's new printing plant in Oslo. The takeover date is 1 January 2003.

"The acquisition will strengthen our position on Soerlandet in Norway. Our ambition is to continue developing and strengthen our multi- disciplinary profile in line with our clients' requirements," said Jan Ove Holmen, Managing Director of Scandiaconsult AS.
