Barrow Street Research Analyst Expands on AdZone Research Recommendation

A continuing Internet Radio Series Featuring an Interview With Barrow Street Research Analyst John Attalienti by IPOdesktop.com

NEW YORK, Oct. 11, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- IPOdesktop.com, continuing its Internet radio series: "Defense and Homeland Security Applications Open New Markets for AdZone Research" (OTCBB:ADZR), today features Barrow Street Research analyst John Attalienti. Earlier this week, the independent research firm issued a speculative buy recommendation on the company, saying it had "the potential to be a huge micro-cap winner."

Based in Calverton, New York, AdZone specializes in automated retrieval, classification, analysis and delivery of worldwide Internet data for global defense as well as media metrics.

During the program, the research analyst explains the firm's initial attraction to AdZone, saying that in his introductory research comments, available at www.barrowstreet.com, he notes that: "We have often been surprised to witness how these fledgling entities sometimes have been impacted and transformed by unscheduled and profound circumstances their founders and investors never imagined, nor intended"

The analyst notes that while the struggling U.S. economy has caused an overall decline in advertising expenditures, the online advertising industry has been holding its own, and that advertisers will spend $15 billion online by 2003, as they try to attract the attention of the rapidly growing online population worldwide. Within this arena, he reports, major media players are expected to rely on AdZone's proprietary data.

However, he adds, "the emergence of AdZone as a possible key company engaged in the prevention and preemption of terrorist activity is currently creating a new dimension to the investment potential" of the company. "In reality, the proprietary, super sophisticated monitoring software that ADZR has created and applies to its otherwise mundane tasks is also able to scan, identify and assess the Internet for information affecting national security, including terrorist activity and potential threats. Indeed," he observes, "since September 11, 2001, the company has received many inquiries concerning the application of its technology in the war against terrorism from both the Office of Homeland Security and several states. AdZone management believes that if the company is successful in obtaining various government contracts, revenues have the potential to reach as much as $60 million within the next two years."

In addition, says Attalienti, major defense contractors such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman and General Dynamics also represent revenue opportunities, as evidenced by the strategic partnership AdZone recently entered into with Raytheon.
