LOS ANGELES, Oct. 25, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Columbus is host to the first RapidDatingUSA expansion in Ohio. "We've received numerous requests to start hosting events in the Central Ohio area. "We recognized that Columbus singles were searching for a simple way to meet."
To meet this demand, Rapid Dating is expanding, first to Columbus and soon to other cities in Ohio.

All events start at 7 p.m. for cocktails and appetizers; the rotations begin at 7:30 p.m. The $35 fee includes buffet appetizers, a cash bar and the chance to meet at least 15 great singles; and by requiring payment and RSVPs in advance, a gender balance is always ensured. Attendees sit and talk with one person for 5 minutes, then change to the next person. At the end of the event, participants turn in sheets that indicate who they would like to meet again. Those participants who have matching 'YES's indicated on their sheets are sent an e-mail message from the hosts the very next day, which contains the necessary contact information.
Rapid Dating is a "power tool" for meeting and networking with other like-minded people to expand dating and social circles. It began in the Los Angeles area in April 2001; expanded to Phoenix in early 2002; and its continuing national expansion now includes Wilmington, Del.; Atlanta; Columbus, Ohio; Cherry Hill, N.J.; and King of Prussia and Philadelphia, Pa.
