E-Rex Dragonfly Mobile Office Device Takes Flight

Award-Winning Prototype Showcased at CTIA and Microsoft's DevCon

MIAMI, Oct. 25, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Today E-Rex, Inc. (OTCBB:EREX) announced that Dragonfly, the Company's award-winning six-in-one prototype device, was successfully demonstrated at the CTIA Wireless I.T. & Internet Show and the third annual Windows Embedded DevCon, both events held earlier this month in Las Vegas. "Dragonfly was received with great enthusiasm by a wide spectrum of show participants including end-users, vertical market application developers, and most importantly potential future OEM and VAR partners," stated Carl Dilley, E-Rex President and CEO.

E-Rex recently entered into several non-disclosure and device-testing agreements with leading computer hardware, peripheral and wireless providers in order to further efforts to secure strategic partnerships and to officially certify product and network compatibility with Dragonfly. Details on the resulting benefits from these new relationships will be disclosed in the weeks and months ahead.

"In addition to the networking and promotional opportunities afforded at CTIA and DevCon we were also pleased to participate as guests at the Annual WirelessReady Alliance Conference, IDC's Analyst Breakfast, and to join our peers for the Windows Embedded Partner Summit," said Mike Balduzzi, Executive Director of Business Development for E-Rex.

Field-Testing Program Enhanced with latest Windows CE technologies

In November, the Company plans to launch a field-testing program targeting mobile workforces at top organizations in the insurance, real estate, transportation, medical, and field sales and service sectors, as well as agencies in government and law enforcement. Dragonfly will be customized, based on end-user requirements, with leading vertical market and CRM applications and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, VoIP, or other hardware or software add-ons designed to help achieve maximum efficiency without being tied down by wires. Demonstrating market demand for Dragonfly will be a key goal of the program, and of paramount importance in the Company's effort to secure a manufacturing and marketing partnership to help bring Dragonfly to the marketplace.

"By leveraging the latest Windows CE technologies, integrated with built-in plain paper color printing, scanning, faxing and copying capabilities, we feel that Dragonfly will soon provide document-centric workers everywhere with a truly mobile office," stated Joe Pacheco, Chief Operating Officer for E-Rex.
