Dobson Communications Plans to Appeal Delisting Notice


OKLAHOMA CITY, Oct. 29, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Dobson Communications Corporation (OTCBB:DCEL) last night received notice from Nasdaq that it planned to delist the Company's Class A common stock securities from the Nasdaq National Market System as of October 29, 2002. The letter from Nasdaq cited Dobson's failure to comply with the $3 minimum bid price under Maintenance Standard 2.

As of this morning, Dobson securities are trading on the OTC Bulletin Board, and a current quote can be obtained at the OTC Bulletin Board's Web site at www.otcbb.com under Dobson's trading symbol "DCEL."

Dobson also announced its plans to appeal the decision of the Nasdaq Listing Panel.
