A Heart Without A Home: A Story of Despair and Triumph

ALLENTOWN, Penn. Oct. 31, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- "Home is the place where, when you have to go there, they have to take you in," says Robert Frost in "The Death of a Hired Man". Ideally, this statement should be true. Yet, there are homes where love is absent, like that of author Richard Sipos' parents' home. In this personal book, aptly titled "Thin-line: Without Love" (now available through 1stBooks Library), Sipos shares his own personal experience of living and surviving in a loveless home.

A story of despair and triumph, Thin-line: Without Love relives Sipos' unforgettable childhood that is marred by poverty and a dysfunctional family relationship. It dissects the true story of the "thin-line" that segregates the lonely troubled life of a young boy from others and how this ultimately affects his being. "Thin-line: Without Love" touches the heart of the readers as it elaborately paints the sacrifices Sipos has gone through in order to survive.

"Even though nine and ten years old were eventful ages, eleven was at least as eventful if not more so. This was the first time I had a brush with the law...like breaking windows, vandalizing cars, stealing...It made Joe and me sick to see homosexuals who would come around our neighborhood trying to pick up the young boys, so I guess what we really hated were pedophiles, but we didn't know that term at the time. These men would try to lure boys with money, gifts, or even the promise of letting the kid drive their cars," Sipos recalls.

Author Richard Sipos is of Hungarian descent. He has spent all his years in Pennsylvania. He graduated in vocational welding from Dieruff High School and now has a blue-collar job. He has been married for forty-three years, has three children and six grandchildren.
