What His Mind Saw -- One man's Ability to See the Future Offers Him the Gift of Salvation in `The Visionary' by Dick Johnson

SEATTLE, Wash., Nov. 6, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- When a human life is at stake, a man who foresees the future reveals his special talent and risks his own life to save another. "The Visionary" (now available through 1stBooks Library), by Dick Johnson, is a sociological novel telling the story of this psychic's adventures.

Johnson says, "`The Visionary' is a fictional story ... Although Jon was born with this unusual ability, he never publicized his talent until he became aware, when he visited Washington D.C., that someone was planning to assassinate the President of the United States. In order to convince the FBI that his prediction was valid, he had to reveal his ability to foresee the future; this led to three attempts on his life."

The book includes his love affair with Diane, an FBI agent, and their marriage. It also covers the activities of the 4-C Foundation and his efforts to organize creative social projects in the community. All of which leads to an unusual and dramatic ending.

Dick Johnson, Ph.D., is retired after working as a professor and associate dean in the University of Washington's Graduate School of Business Administration. He developed a special graduate program which was honored by the Ford Foundation as the most innovative program in the country that year.

Dr. Johnson has written texts and reference books, and co-authored "The Theory and Management of Systems," which was published by McGraw-Hill in three editions and reprinted in French, Dutch, Russian, Spanish and Japanese.

He has also authored "Nothing But The Truth," available through 1stBooks Library.
