Independent Tests Show HumaTech's Promax Formulas Yield Higher Price Per Pound for Cattle


HOUSTON, Nov. 7, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- HumaTech, Inc. (OTCBB:HUMT), the manufacturer and distributor of organic-based nutrients for animals, today announced that a major feedlot customer had successfully completed two independent tests of one of its Promax(r) feed ingredient formulas -- used primarily in the beef cattle feedlot market -- with cattle raised on this feed ingredient yielding higher per pound prices from the meat packer.

"These two tests, conducted at a 30,000 head feedlot, were successful in every way," said HumaTech President and CEO David Williams. "They are creating solid customer confidence in our Promax formulations being of very measurable value in the highly competitive feedlot business, where there is not a penny to waste."

"The real world benefit of using Promax in animal feeds is remarkable," said Bert Parker, the feedlot manager who directed the testing while managing the Sugarland Feed Yard this past year. "I conducted two separate studies using Promax as a feed ingredient in our feeds for steers and heifers," said Parker. "The results were profitable, and consistently better than the control groups. The meat packer paid a higher price per pound for the Promax fed cattle.

"The nearly identical results from both tests gave me real world confidence in using Promax," Parker continued, "in that it will inexpensively give consistent results in beef cattle under a variety of conditions. I really like the economics of using Promax, and actively recommend this product wherever I go. I feel that it has a great future in the beef cattle feedlot market."

Parker noted that, "Having met with some of the university research scientists that are involved in research on Promax, as well as seeing for myself the added income of four to five times the cost of Promax on each head of cattle, and the benefits of reducing cost of gain, has given me the highest level of confidence in what I believe will become a standard for the industry."
