Sandvik Secures Order Valued at SEK 350 M for Sorting Equipment in U.S.


SANDVIKEN, Sweden, Nov. 18, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Sandvik (Other OTC:SDVKY) (Stockholm:SAND):

Sandvik Sorting Systems, within the Sandvik Process Systems business sector, has received a large, strategically important order for sorting equipment from the American company Lockheed Martin Distribution Technologies. The equipment comprises Sandvik's fully automated package sorting system and is for more than 70 installations that will be carried out beginning in 2004 within the U.S. Postal Service. The total order value is SEK 350 M.
