Northrop Grumman Wins U.S. Navy Contract for Phase One of Fully Integrated Personnel and Pay System Program


HERNDON, Va., Nov. 19, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Information Technology (IT) sector was awarded a Phase One contract to provide a fully integrated personnel and pay capability for all military branches of the Department of Defense (DoD). This will provide the joint battlefield commander with unprecedented visibility into the characteristics and readiness of personnel assigned across all service components.

This program, the Defense Integrated Military Human Resources System (DIMHRS), will enhance personnel management mission support by eliminating or reducing data collection burdens, solve operational problems, conserve resources, improve delivery services and enhance readiness.

In this initial phase, Northrop Grumman IT will develop system specifications, risk reduction plans and architectural designs. The contract is valued at $1 million for the next three months to Northrop Grumman IT. Total value for Phase II of the contract is $500 million.
