Building the Great Ark Once Again -- New Book Reveals God's teachings through Noah's Preaching

BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Nov. 25, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Have you ever wondered how Noah managed to build such an enormous ark -- a vessel that was destined to save the lives of people and animals alike? Author Harvey Thomas, in his book "Noah's Ark" (now available through 1stBooks Library), explains that only through the loving intervention of the Lord was Noah able to complete his seemingly insurmountable task.

Named after the Biblical story, "Noah's Ark" aims to spread God's true message to his people. Did Noah preach for 120 years, while he was building the ark? Thomas describes God's unending love, His relationship with man and how man chooses to respond to Him. But unlike other books of its kind, "Noah's Ark" effectively dissects the Bible, offering clear and simple explanations to various passages for the readers' better understanding.

More than giving deeper interpretations of the Bible, the author also inspires and encourages his readers to listen to God's voice by serenely reflecting on the Bible's teachings. However, he warns them of erroneous, if not inaccurate teachings by "people from the pulpit."

He writes, "The Holy Spirit taught me things I had never heard from a pulpit. I find when I talk of them, even people who know me, cannot comprehend the magnitude of these truths for many reasons. This book is written to those of the body of Christ, who want deeper truths and who have ears to hear what the Spirit of the Lord would say to them."

Author Harvey Thomas heeded the call of God since he joined the Baptist Church at age 16. According to him, it took him a long time before he finally realized that he should seriously start seeking the Lord. After completing his Bible studies in Kenneth E. Hagin Ministries, he continued his search of the Lord by studying at Morris Cerullo Ministries.

Thomas believes that he has truly served Him by being an elder, deacon, financial and business manager, secretary/treasurer/director of a corporation, facilities manager and janitor. Currently, he is an usher in a Good Word of Faith Church in Bakersfield, Calif., while waiting for his assignment from the ministry.
