`Death Is Contagious' -- New Novel Depicts the Destructive Effects of Terrorism

CRESTVIEW, Fla., Nov. 25, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- A peaceful co-existence among the peoples of the earth despite many differences might not be a farfetched dream if not for terrorism. James E. Moore addresses the discord that citizens living in peace encounter when cornered by a band of religious zealots in his novel "Death Is Contagious" (now available through 1stBooks Library).

Islam falls at the hands of the United States. Consumed by hatred and defeat, a group of wealthy, Middle Eastern students concoct a dangerous plan to get back at their enemies. This scheme marks the birth of a deadly terrorist attack against the western infidels.

Under the Persian code name Zoroastrians or Fireworshipers, the young terrorists set out to seek revenge from the world's most powerful and democratic nation and to, once and for all, make their Islamic pleas known and heard.

The students devise the most destructive plan in the history of modern warfare. They not only want to avenge their downfall but, more so, they dream to paralyze America.

However, their plot somehow reaches their enemies. A hunting party, operating in a remote section of Wyoming, discovers the target of a deadly assault instituted by Islamic fundamentalists. Uncovering the basis of why an isolated and diverse crew was selected by these vigilantes produces a net of complicated intrigue.

Moore has cunningly injected wit and thrill in his novel. A timely account, "Death is Contagious" shows that terrorism is as destructive as any war. Moore has published numerous historical articles and has authored two books on the history of the Florida panhandle. He also co-authored a humorous book of southern short stories. A graduate of Florida State University and the University of Florida, Moore is a semi-retired attorney and the part owner of a Holiday Inn Express. He currently resides in Crestview, Fla.
