The Scientific Vs. The Spiritual -- New Book `ILL Wind from Eden' Proves that Water and Oil Do Mix

LAKE WORTH, Fla., Nov. 25, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Ever since the Scopes 'Monkey Trials' of 1925, science and religion have been at odds. Reconciling the Biblical explanations with scientific and historical evidence has been patchy and problematic, at best. Until now! Author Ron C. Kimrey has collected and combined these long-scattered fragments in his new book entitled, "ILL Wind from Eden" (now available from 1stBooks Library).

Kimrey has managed to align science and religion using research material that dates from the earliest of ancient writings and discoveries, up to the present day. Taken from Bible scholars, archaeologists, scientists, and historians, all are credible and relevant. He writes, "In essential features, the Bible is in harmony with modern science, the closer the Bible is examined the more astonishing is its remarkable accuracy."

For example Kimrey parallels the Biblical story of Noah's Ark (Genesis 7:1-24) with an article from The Scientific Monthly. The magazine explains how deposits of coral that only grow in shallow water are found on deeply submerged undersea ranges. Geologist Edwin L. Hamilton's scientific opinion bears a marked resemblance to the Biblical concept of 'the great flood.'

Although the author makes no claim to the originality or even organization of these "jewels of truth," his interpretations and insights are powerful, poignant, and provocative. Kimrey accurately and astutely states that, "Seekers of truth will become thoroughly absorbed in this material."

Author Ron C. Kimrey was born and raised in the Southwest. Entering the military at age thirteen, he spent three years in the infantry before being honorably discharged. Kimrey then enlisted in the Air Force and gained his high school diploma. Later in life, he earned a bachelor's degree in engineering management. Research for "ILL Wind from Eden," Kimrey's first book, began unknowingly, while the author was in the Air Force, stationed in Northern Alaska, seventy-six miles from Russia. Kimrey resides in Lake Worth, Fla.
