Jesus Christ -- A Biography of The Son of God

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif., Dec. 2, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Holy Bible tells us many things about the Christian faith, including everything we need to know to attain salvation. Jesus Christ. Author Roland S. Taylor presents an epic poem that helps one get to know and understand the Saviour even more in the book "Harmony of the Gospels in Rhyming Verse: An epic poem on the life of Jesus Christ" (now available from 1stBooks Library).

In the book, Taylor chronologically recounts the life of Jesus Christ including birth, death, resurrection and ascension. "Harmony of the Gospels in Rhyming Verse" contains divisions and sub-divisions. All of the events stated in the book have reference texts in which one, two, or all of the Gospel writers -- Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John -- wrote. It will help preachers and teachers enrich their sermons and lectures by supplementing the Gospel with a poem, the book also has a table that includes all the passages.

Taylor applies the works of respected scholars John A. Broadus and A.T. Robertson to come up with "Harmony of the Gospels in Rhyming Verse." These scholars have lined up the four Gospels in columns to simplify the timeline. However, the author weaves all of the Gospels in one great work as the Diatesseron by Tatian did centuries ago. What makes Taylor's book unique is that unlike the Diatesseron, which was written in a continuous narrative, "Harmony of the Gospels in Rhyming Verse" is written in iambic pentameter.

Author Roland Taylor is a semi-retired Baptist preacher. He was raised by missionary parents, who instilled in him a love for the Bible, especially the story of Jesus. Although his father died on the mission field when he was just eight years old, Taylor never deviated from the faith of his father and mother. Roland and his wife Gayle, live in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
