Yellow Transportation Places Order for 154 New Volvo VN's


GOTHENBURG, Sweden, Dec. 6, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Volvo Trucks North America, Inc. today announced Yellow Transportation, Inc., ordered 154 Volvo VNM daycab tractors, for delivery in the first quarter of 2003. Yellow will take delivery of the new Volvo (Nasdaq:VOLVY) trucks through its long-time dealer, Westfall Volvo and GMC Truck, Kansas City, Mo.

Yellow's new Volvo VNMs are a mix of single- and tandem-axle tractors. Each is powered by Volvo VED12 engine. The VED12 complies with the EPA'02 emissions standards which went into effect October 1.
