Jan Roxendal New CEO for Intrum Justitia


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Dec. 17, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Jan Roxendal will assume the position of CEO of Intrum Justitia (Other OTC:INJJF) (Stockholm:IJ) as soon as possible or at the latest as of March 1, 2003. He will be based at the company's head office in Nacka, Stockholm, Sweden.

Jan Roxendal joins Intrum Justita from ABB, where he was head of the Financial Services Division and Executive Vice President of ABB Ltd., in Zurich, Switzerland. In 2001, ABB Financial Services managed assets of 15 billion USD and employed some 1,200 people in its worldwide operations.

Jan Roxendal joined ASEA/ABB in 1984 when he introduced a new treasury concept which he later successfully implemented on a global basis. In 1991 he was appointed CEO for the ABB Financial Services global businesses reporting to the ABB Group CEO. During 1998-2002 he was also a member of the ABB Group Executive Committee. Prior to ABB, Jan Roxendal worked as a banker with SEB and Swedish Export Credit (SEK).

Jan Roxendal, 49 years, is a Swedish citizen and has lived in Zurich, Switzerland for the past 15 years. Trained and educated in banking, he holds a Higher General Banking Certificate. He has also participated in several top management programs (IMD and ABB).

Bertil Persson, who has been acting CEO during the recruitment process, will resume his position as CFO and deputy CEO when Jan Roxendal assumes his position.
