FOERSLOEV, Sweden, Dec. 20, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Peab (Stockholm:PEABb) has won the contract to enlarge and extend road 225 east of Sodertalje. The client is the National Road Administration and the contract is worth SEK 120 million.
The work includes building a new 3 km stretch of dual carriageway, a traffic roundabout, footpaths, cycle paths and four bridges. Road 225 links the E4/E20 road with Sodertorn. When the work is completed, road 225 will take over much of the traffic that currently causes congestion in central Sodertalje.
Work is to begin immediately and is expected to be completed by the end of 2004.
