Telelogic Synergy Chosen by Telco Giant as Enterprise Wide Standard for Change and Configuration

MALMO, Sweden, Jan. 2, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) --

Telelogic Signs Contract with U.S.-Based Telecom Company Worth More
than U.S. $1 Million in New Software Licenses

Telelogic, (Stockholm:TLOG) (Other OTC:TGIAF), the leading global provider of solutions for advanced systems and software development, today announced that on December 31, 2002, one of the world's largest telecommunications companies signed a major contract worth more than U.S. $1 Million in new software licenses. The U.S.-based client signed an agreement for the Telelogic Synergy(TM) suite of change and configuration management tools that will create a uniform enterprise wide standard for the company's software development across product and divisional lines.

"This is the second largest Synergy deal with a telecommunications vendor in only a few days," said Anders Lidbeck, President and CEO for Telelogic. "A critical factor in the decision to go with Telelogic's suite of change management software was our ability to standardize on a scalable and consistent platform that integrates well with the diverse development tools used across the customer's organization. This summarizes Telelogic's strategy very well -- to offer open, but integrated solutions for large organizations, with large-scale projects and distributed development teams."

The Telelogic solution will consolidate and replace previous non-Telelogic CM systems that failed to deliver the benefit of an integrated solution. Telelogic was chosen after a nine-month competitive review. The customer also conducted a comprehensive analysis, which showed how they would achieve a 300 to 500 percent return on investment due to switching to Telelogic from their previous CM tool during the next year. The benefits will primarily be derived from an increase in software quality and the elimination of rework through the Synergy solution. CM Synergy and ChangeSynergy will interface with Telelogic's existing requirements management software, DOORS(R).

The licenses will be located at development centers across the United States, and linked together with the customer's state-of-the-art high-speed network. Synergy will be first adopted by the wireless phone services group, and then rolled-out to other divisions within the company, including long distance services and local telephone services.
