VSM Group: Beautiful Contemporary Quilts on Show at the Bibliotheque Fourney in Paris Spain, the USA, Australia and Alaska

HUSKVARNA, Sweden, Jan. 10, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- 50 of the world's most beautiful quilts have been on tour all over the world for quite some time now, under the name "Feel Free." On January 20, 2003 the exhibition will open at the Bibliotheque Fourney, the famous arts library in Paris.

The exhibition is sponsored by Husqvarna Viking, one of the well-known brands of the sewing machine manufacturer the VSM Group.

The "Feel Free" exhibition stemmed from an international quilt competition involving participants from 20 countries, and was first shown at the Palacio de Congresos in Barcelona, Spain, in April 2002. Since then the quilts have been displayed and admired in a number of other countries, arousing a huge amount of interest.

At the Bibliotheque Fourney the quilts can be seen up until 22nd March 2003.

"The word 'quilt' conjures up images of old traditional quilts, which is fair enough up to a point, but these are extremely modern and artistic patchworks. Seeing is believing!" so said Lill Nylen, PR officer for the VSM Group, adding that the "Feel Free" exhibition will continue touring round the world throughout 2003 and into 2004.
