Intentia: Postponed and Split Contracts Affected License Sales at Year-End 2002

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Jan. 10, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Intentia International AB (publ.) (XSSE:INT) (Other OTC:IAINF) announced that weak market conditions have had a negative impact on the demand for enterprise applications during 2002 and have made the market difficult to predict.

Intentia continued to participate in a large number of procurement projects at the end of the year. However, the number of contracts that were either postponed or divided into smaller parts was greater than anticipated, and as a result license revenue is expected to be lower than forecast. Full-year license revenue is expected to fall short of SEK 1.1 billion, in contrast to the SEK 1.2 billion estimated for 2002. As a result, the previously communicated guidance indicating positive operating earnings will not be met.

Intentia continues to participate in a large number of ongoing procurement projects. At the same time, the Company expects unpredictable market conditions to continue during 2003. Over the past two years, Intentia has been implementing a program to develop organization and business processes that create a base for combining growth with significantly improved operating earnings. This process entered the next phase the latter part of 2002 and will successively reduce the cost base.

"These measures will significantly reduce costs during 2003, while enabling us to increase our delivery capacity and improve the quality of the solutions we provide to our customers," says Bjorn Algkvist, CEO, Intentia International AB.

The announcement of 2002 accounts will be published on February 4, 2003.
