Ego vs. Spirit in A. E. Hinton's Re-Release of Book `Confessions of Lifetimes in the Fountain of Choice'

CHICAGO, Jan. 16, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- "Confessions of Lifetimes in the Fountain of Choice" (now available through 1stBooks Library), by A. E. Hinton, divulges the accounts of one spirit's journeys in the flesh after making a deal with the Ominous Voice to receive the gift of choice. As the soul struggles to choose its natural path toward oneness, each story confesses the accounts of that lifetime; showing how and why one element is chosen oppose to the other. The accounts of each chapter take the soul closer to the direction of the element (ego or spirit) chosen.

"Confessions of Lifetimes" is made up of 19 short stories, which escalates to one soul's true destiny, a little further in each chapter, as the book gets closer to its surprising climax. Not only does each chapter reveal a valuable lesson to the soul, but also deals with the consequences of choice through karma and wisdom. First starting out as just spirit, each character's spirit learns to adjust to sharing a body of flesh with the ego and the human brain. The transition starts out rough, but soon begins to reveal a purpose and meaning of man's soul.

A. E. Hinton feels his book will give each reader the opportunity to view life in a manner most have forgotten. His words put into perspective the struggles we all face as individuals, while at the same time showing the rewards and damages our choices produce. Hinton states that he purposely designed the book to ensure each reader may relate to at least one chapter; hence, understanding the true purpose of mankind's reason for being. This fresh unique quality of storytelling, mixed with a healthy spiritual foundation gives readers variety unlike anything in print today.

A. E. Hinton is a 40-year-old man who was born in Knoxville, Tenn. and now lives in Chicago and publicly speaks on injury prevention. In 1990, he was the victim of a hit and run drunk driver and will live the remainder of his life as a quadriplegic.
