STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Jan. 28, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Through its French subsidiary Ritzenthaler, the Gunnebo (Stockholm:GUNN) security group has installed integrated security systems for access control at 15 defence ministry sites in France.
Thanks to the high level of reliability, technical advanced products and ease of management, these first installations have now been followed by a new order for access control systems at a further 40 sites across France. It includes setting up a national server for the follow up of DGA (Delegation generale pour l'Armement) visitors while also enabling personnal access to be controlled in all the DGA sites.
The order includes 400 readers, 165 controllers and 21,000 contactless smart cards. The installation of the equipment is expected to take about a year, and Ritzenthaler will have responsibility for project management and for all equipment for access control and visitor systems. Time will be managed by Horoquartz, a subcontractor working jointly with Ritzenthaler.

"Ritzenthaler, which we acquired in 2001, has a very strong position in the service industries sector, with more than 2,000 access control systems installed in France and with 75% of the country's banks branches equipped with Ritzenthaler's products.
