Hey, Watch Where You're Going! Historical Novel Chronicles One Family's Struggles During Devastating Times

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 3, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Hey, Watch Where You're Going! by James Dolan (now available through 1stBooks Library) is a timely historical novel of a period in history when Americans struggled through some devastating times.

Through this novel, one can follow the experiences and personal sacrifices of a Baltimore family as they fight their way out of the clutches of the terrible depression of the 1930s and enter the belt tightening days of World War II. And also live the experiences of a healthy and handsome teenager as he begins to blossom into a talented and caring young man. The story follows him through the fun and rigors of his final two years of high school, as he develops into an accomplished musician, and as he questions his own sexuality, having been forced to grow up in a home with a mother and a sister, without a father as a role model.

You're with him as he survives his war wounds received at Normandy, France, on D Day, June 6, 1944, and has his first sexual experience in a woman's ward at a military hospital in England, and as he returns home under a cloud of a tragedy waiting to happen.

Jim Dolan is a retired Maryland trial lawyer. Soon tiring of retirement, he began a teaching career at the prestigious Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida and taught business law there for sixteen years. Jim still lives in Orlando near his son J.D. and his daughter Wendy.
