Keyware Launches KeyFree Release 12

The World's Most Advanced Component-Based Suite for Physical Access, Time & Attendance and Alarm Management

BRUSSELS, Belgium, Feb. 5, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Keyware Technologies NV ("Keyware") (NASDAQ Europe:KEYW) (Other OTC:KEYWF), one of the world's leading providers of multi-application card solutions, today announced the launch of KeyFree Release 12 (KeyFree R12). This new release integrates physical access, time & attendance and alarm management into one component-based suite, a milestone in the history of corporate security.

On a visitor access level, KeyFree integrates biometrics and proximity card technology to allow organizations to control a variety of physical access points: ranging from doors to turn styles and elevators, to garages and parking lots. KeyFree easily handles physical access and security issues in multi-national organizations with buildings, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers and other physical locations spread around the globe that require strict and centrally managed security control. Furthermore, the software is well-suited for multi-company locations that require a central access control system with decentralized security settings.

With Release 12, KeyFree further brings a seamless integration with MaxiTime, Keyware's time & attendance management solution and adds several new functions in the domain of visitor registration and administration, proximity card management, device management, database integration and web-based workflow. Moreover, KeyFree R12 links alarm management terminals to access rules and enables organizations to remotely monitor all physical locations using phone, e-mail, the internet or mobile communications.

With KeyFree R12, Keyware now offers an end-to-end security solution including micro-processor controlled hardware and state-of-the-art software, entirely engineered and developed in-house. The new KeyFree is recognized as one of the most advanced and complete physical security management solutions available on the market.

Today KeyFree is installed and in use by over 900 multinationals, including a wide range of Fortune 500 companies, and a large number of government agencies.

Mr. Stephane Vandervelde, SVP Corporate Strategy, said : "I am proud that once again Keyware defines what physical access, time & attendance and alarm management really means. Today, for a large number of governments and industries only the highest levels of security are acceptable. With this new revision, our research & development department sets the standards for the entire security industry. Keyware has a prominent place in securing this world and our new KeyFree revision will prove that this is the right positioning."
