RaderEnergy Announces Global Honors Program

Nominations for 'Key Information Technology Players in Energy' by February 15

HOUSTON, Feb. 6, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- RaderEnergy, a Houston-based energy consultancy, announced today it is now in the final stage of accepting nominations to the second annual "50 Key Information Technology Players in Energy," a global honors program whose mission is to identify the best and brightest technologists and technology-focused companies throughout the world in upstream, midstream, downstream and retail energy organizations. The List of 50 honorees will be announced in March 2003. The deadline for nomination is February 15, 2003.

Energy-based information technology requires great leaders, but also demands scientifically based technology providers. This honor is designed for achievements attained by December 31, 2002, and is intended to recognize individuals with contributions to pioneering technological achievements in innovation, creativity, problem resolution and future solutions. It also honors corporations with leading technological solutions to industry or user problems, innovative applications for existing technology, as well as marketing communications achievements such as public relations or advertising campaigns, creative promotions or trade show/event programs.

The purpose of the global survey is to identify, recognize and honor key individuals and companies around the world positioned at the forefront of information technology (IT) applications used throughout the global energy marketing chain -- upstream, midstream, downstream and retail.

Nominations may span the global energy community and supply chain, from E&P through refining, natural gas, fuel oil and power marketing, energy trading, and down the chain to the retail market where the energy is sold to the consumer. Nominations will be accepted for individuals and companies in IT practices including electronic metering and billing, automation, workforce management, drilling and construction monitoring, electronic trading, portfolio management systems, data- and text-mining, and more.

Every honors nomination received by February 15, 2003 will be considered for the year 2002, and announced during the timeframe of the Geospatial Information Technology Association (GITA) 26th Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas, in early March 2003. Honorees need not be present but will be interviewed before the conference for a cover or feature article highlighting the overall achievement and awards.

Categories for nominations are as follows:

Individual honors: Leadership (executive/management), Outside-the-Box Thinker, Dragon Slayer (Best chaos-to-order solution), and Promising Rookie (less than 2 years in field).

Corporate honors: Best IT Solution or Problem Resolution, Best New Use of Existing Technology, and Best Corporate Giveaway, PR or Promotional Ad Campaign.

Nominations should be submitted via fax to Linda Rader, president, RaderEnergy at +1 (713) 622-8490 or via email to keypeopleinenergy@att.net. Please contact Linda Rader for additional information.
