The Horizon Award category honors the top three products in security based on customer satisfaction scores.
To determine finalists within the 12 information security categories, Information Security asked its subscribers to indicate the products they use and rate their effectiveness on a scale of one to five. The top three rated products in each category, based on the number of users and the level of customer satisfaction, were selected as finalists.
The Horizon Award is particularly prestigious for a product because it is a cross-category award. Products chosen in this category lack an extensive user-base due to their short time on the market, but are highly regarded by those users.
The winners will be announced at the gala awards during MIS Training Institute's InfoSec World Conference and Expo 2003 in Orlando, FL on March 10, attended by approximately 1,500 of security professionals and practitioners.
