SOLNA, Sweden, Feb. 21, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- NCC is acquiring Anjobygg AB. The acquired company, which holds strong market position, particularly in the civil engineering and heavy industrial construction segments, had total sales in 2002 of SEK 300 million, which generated healthy profitability. The acquisition is subject to the approval of the Swedish Competition Authority.
Anjobygg is mainly active in southern and central Sweden. Its operations are based on expertise in civil engineering and concrete assignments, process know-how in a number of specialist fields and well-developed contacts with several key customers. The company has 170 employees and regional offices in Halmstad and Gothenburg.
The current owners, who are also company employees, will continue to develop the operations following the transfer to NCC.
Anjobygg's operations, especially those in the water-supply, sewage-treatment and heavy industrial construction segments, have entered a development phase. Project volumes in these segments can exceed SEK 200 million. A strong owner and partner will provide the potential for further increases in the company's development power.
