Dr. Seuss' Great Skate Presented by Philadelphia Reads at the Blue Cross RiverRink This Monday

 Where:      Blue Cross RiverRink
             Festival Pier at Penn's Landing
             Columbus Boulevard and Spring Garden Street
             Philadelphia, PA

 What:       Presented as part of the local Read Across America
             Celebration, Dr. Seuss' Great Skate will feature special
             guest readers, skating characters and variety of fun and
             crafts throughout the evening. Children enrolled in the
             Philadelphia Reads program and their families will have
             the opportunity to enjoy an evening of free ice-skating,
             story-telling, food and games.

 Background: The goal of this event is to bring the children and their
             families, their Philadelphia Reads Power Partner Reading
             Coaches and sponsors together in a family style
             atmosphere to celebrate literacy and the team effort it
             takes to help a child become a proficient reader by the 
             third grade. 

             Read Across America is a nationwide celebration of
             reading that commemorates Dr. Seuss' birthday. 

             Dr. Seuss' Great Skate is made possible by donations by
