ARINC Presents Cybrix's C4 Encryption Software at AFCEA Tradeshow

SAN DIEGO, Calif., Feb. 27, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Global Assets & Services (OTCBB:GAST) today announced, along with its teaming partner Cybrix Group, Inc. (formally Geosystems) and its U.S. licensee ARINC Engineering Services, LLC., the presentation of new software that can protect military, private and public networks, giving them virtually unbreakable security. The software was introduced to military information specialists at the annual AFCEA (Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association) West 2003 tradeshow in San Diego, California.

The Western Conference and Exposition (West 2003) is the largest event on the West Coast for communications, electronics, intelligence, information systems, imaging, military weapon systems, aviation, shipbuilding, and more. The West show attracts the military's most qualified technology professionals and industry leaders.

ARINC Engineering Services, LLC presented technical background materials and performance specifications of the Cybrix C4 Encryption Software suite. The Product contains a high-speed, 65,536-bit encryption engine that makes encrypted data highly resistant to decoding. For comparison, today's most widely used commercial encryption is based on 128-bit technology.

"We foresee an emerging demand for ultra-secure data, from military applications to the Internet and from wireless networking to teleconferencing," stated Michael Woiwode, ARINC marketing director.

The Cybrix C4 software suite also achieves very high encryption speeds -- at an average of 480 megabits per second -- by compressing data files before it encrypts them. It adds another level of security with an exclusive signal technology based on chaos-theory mathematics.

Cybrix C4 technology, based on Focus System's C4 engine, is a recent development from Japan and has been deployed on several private networks and public systems there.

"To have ARINC present the C4 software at the AFCEA show is an encouraging sign that that they have faith in the product and the resources to introduce it to government agencies and industry leaders," says Bert Cutler, Global President.

ARINC designs and maintains mission-critical networks for aviation, government agencies and a range of industry. The Cybrix C4 software can provide such users with highly secure connectivity across either public or private networks, including the Internet, and wireless and cellular networks. It actually offers a choice of encryption levels from 8- to 65,536-bit, allowing users to scale the system over time and match changing needs for information transmission and storage for years to come.

In addition to high speed, Cyrix C4 technology offers JAVA compatibility for use on multiple operating platforms including IBM mainframes, Windows(r) 95 through XP, Unix, Linux, Macintosh, Windows CE, and Palm operating systems. This open-systems approach and high speed translate to wide potential applications in broadband networks.
