Spendrups Chooses Integrated System Solution from Intentia

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, March 3, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Intentia Consulting Sweden today announces that brewing company Spendrups has chosen an integrated enterprise application from Intentia (Other OTC:IAINF). Among other things, this means that Spendrups' aging order and logistics systems will be replaced with Movex. "With this agreement, we create a long-term partnership with Intentia," said Eva Sjowall, IT manager at Spendrups.

Spendrups is one of Sweden's largest breweries and has earlier used smaller parts of Movex in its operations. "We chose to purchase a new enterprise application when our other aging systems could no longer bear the weight of the goals we had for our business. Intentia has very good references and therefore ended up early on our list of possible future suppliers," Sjowall said.

During the purchasing process, Spendrups carried out extensive internal activity where each system supplier's ability to meet Spendrups' needs and requirements was thoroughly evaluated. "We chose Intentia because their business model offers comprehensive commitment with product development and their own consultants, training and support," Sjowall said.

The agreement means that Spendrups now receives a modern enterprise application to support its business-critical processes. Movex is one of the few enterprise applications on the market that offers a standard solution for the brewing industry and that is based on the specific standards that are associated with different lines of business.

The order basically consists of an entire enterprise application. In addition, Spendrups has chosen to integrate a significant part of Intentia's logistics planning tools by implementing Movex Demand Planner and Movex Supply Chain Planner. Spendrups will also use Movex Workplace, which makes it possible to create role-based user interfaces. The project is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2004.

Intentia is already successful among food and beverage companies and has, among other things, a market-leading position with Movex Food and Beverage. Among Intentia's customers in this area are Arla, Cerealia, Findus, Frionor, Heinz, Lofbergs Lila, OLW, Scan Foods, Semper, Swedish Meats, Wasa and Zoegas. Breweries that use Movex include Carlsberg, Christansands Bryggeri, Joker, Kiviks Musteri, Koninlijke De Ruijter, Pernod Ricard and Ramlosa.
