Spirit Specks Incite a Mind Journey -- New Spiritual Book Encourages Self Discovery

ESTORIL, Portugal, March 12, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Who? When? Why? What for? These are questions posed by humanity, according to author Jose de Faria e Maya. In his newly released book, entitled "Specks of Spirit" (now available through 1stBooks Library), the author presents a journey into the mind to answer life's eternal questions.

Everyone has to begin somewhere. From this point, profound reasoning can occur, the author notes. "Specks of Spirit" examines the essence of the soul, as well as God's grace. Delving into evolution and Darwin's theories, the book is more an exercise in reasoning, than a true book in the classical sense, de Faria e Maya notes. A main focus of the author's work is discovery of self.

What is the origin of man? What is the destiny of humanity? "Specks of Spirit" addresses issues running a full gamut of philosophical topics. From the glory of life to the tragedy of death, there are no limits on the soul, which is defined as God's part in everyone, the author remarks. There are, however, mechanic and body limitations, he adds.

The author even claims to have a test, which will separate the correct Messiah from the imposters, he notes. It is important to "follow the right path in life," he adds.

Although, readers may agree in some ways and disagree in others, the author hopes they will find themselves "much richer at the end."

Born, raised and currently residing in Portugal, de Faria e Maya and his wife, Ursula, have two grown sons. He is a retired mechanic and aeronautical engineer and a weekend oil painter, ceramist and motorcyclist.
