HERNDON, Va., March 14, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Information Technology (IT) sector has appointed Michele Kang as vice president, Health & Science Solutions. She will report to Jim Perriello, president, Government Solutions, Northrop Grumman IT.

In this position, Kang will focus on achieving significant growth in the federal, civil and commercial health care markets, while improving financial operational effectiveness. Leveraging her many years of experience in commercial IT and successful business development, Kang will re-engineer the company's strategies to capture a bigger share of the growing health care IT market.

Kang joins Northrop Grumman IT from the company's Mission Systems sector, where she was vice president and deputy general manager, Global Information Technology Division. She has been with the company since July 2000 when she joined the former TRW Systems business as vice president, e-Business.

Prior to joining TRW, Kang was a partner with Ernst & Young where she focused on high-tech and telecommunications industries. She earned her bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Chicago and master's in public and private management from Yale University.
