Nissan North America Signs Deal with Intentia

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, March 25, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Leading automotive OEM is seeking higher levels of maintenance efficiency and productivity with less downtime using Movex Plant Maintenance, Intentia's (Other OTC:IAINF) best-of-breed asset management solution.

Intentia International AB (publ.) today announced that Nissan North America, Inc. has signed an agreement with Intentia in America to license and implement Intentia's Movex Plant Maintenance solution in three of the automotive manufacturer's facilities. They include the company's Smyrna, Tennessee, Canton, Mississippi, and Decherd, Tennessee, plants, which manufacture the majority of Nissan engines and vehicles sold in the United States.

"We are pleased and honored by Nissan's North America's confidence in our company and our Enterprise Asset Management solution," said Linus Parker, Intentia America's President upon announcing the agreement. "Needless to say, all of us at Intentia are fully committed to making this implementation a success and meeting Nissan North America's performance expectations."

Nissan North America markets nine vehicle lines for the U.S. market, including sedans (Maxima, Altima, Sentra, 350Z), SUVs (Xterra, Pathfinder, the new Murano), a truck (Frontier) and a minivan (Quest).

The Intentia software system will help Nissan develop effective predictive and preventive maintenance schedules, track and monitor equipment history, and generate work orders for both daily operations and capital projects.

According to Gartner, Inc., "Discrete manufacturing organizations with critical equipment, 24x7 operations or downtime in excess of industry norms (based on equipment type) can maximize output and minimize costs by taking a closer look at asset management solutions." (Gartner, Inc., "Choices for Asset Management in Discrete Manufacturing," K. Steenstrup, Jan. 2002.)

Chris Cooper, Intentia's Director of Plant Maintenance Systems, commented, "I am delighted that we are working with Nissan on this significant project. The advanced engineering-based functionality of Movex Plant Maintenance, having already proved itself to be a major force in process industry, is now showing that the product is also a strong global player in discrete manufacturing."
