Front Porch Digital to Showcase Video Archive Solutions at NAB 2003; Six Partners will Feature FPDI's Broadcast Systems at Their Booths

NEW YORK, March 27, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Front Porch Digital Inc. (OTCBB:FPDI) today announced that it will demonstrate its Broadcast Middleware solutions and emerging new products at the National Association of Broadcasters' (NAB) 2003 convention in Las Vegas, April 7 - 10. FPDI's systems will be shown at the partner booths of Harris Corporation (C404), IBM (SU7237), Microsoft Corporation (SL136), Netia (N2434), SeaChange International (SU5459) and StorageTek (SL2961).

"We are looking forward to showcasing our superior solutions at NAB," said Don Maggi, CEO of Front Porch Digital. "Our unique products can be combined to provide an integrated end-to-end solution to Broadcasters. FPDI's Video Archive System Technology (VAST(tm)) integrated workflow allows us to deliver the capability to ingest, index, archive, repurpose and distribute digital video content efficiently and cost-effectively." VAST, the single capture, multi-repurpose process that simplifies digital content archiving incorporates BitStorm(r) and BitScream(r), the Company's core technologies for ingest and transcoding.

VAST also utilizes Quick-Index and Browse, a low-cost and user-friendly application for content indexing and browsing, and FPDI's Distributed Intelligent Versatile Archive (DIVArchive(tm)). DIVArchive, Front Porch Digital's proprietary foundation software and architecture helps preserve, manage and access content with almost infinite capacity and superior performance as a best-of-breed enterprise class storage management solution.

"FPDI's staff will demonstrate the Windows Media 9 Playout Video Server at Microsoft's booth," said Dr. Jay Yogeshwar, CTO of Front Porch Digital. "This Video Server is the first of its kind to incorporate Microsoft's Windows Media Technology in a live Broadcast application. Harris Transcode Manager, powered by our BitScream technology, will be shown at Harris' booth as part of the Harris Invenio Asset Management Solution. We will also display our combined archive management and transcoding workflow at SeaChange's booth. This abstraction of physical storage and video format enables the SeaChange Broadcast Media Library (BML) to be used as an optimal storage resource for clients and applications across a media enterprise."

"We will exhibit BitScream, Quick-Index and DIVArchive at the StorageTek booth," said Rino Petricola, Director of Business Development of Broadcast at Front Porch Digital International. "Video near-line solutions integrating a video server and DIVArchive will be displayed at the IBM booth. Finally, Netia will showcase its asset management application, which integrates our DIVArchive storage management software. FPDI's presence at six partner booths clearly demonstrates our position as the leading provider of Broadcast Middleware and our success in providing real world workflow solutions for Broadcasters."
