Love Isn't Black and White -- New Mysterious Romance Novel Presents A Compelling Newspaper Reporter and Her Search for True Love

FRANKFORT, Ky., March 28, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Jade Lewis is a beautiful, African American investigative newspaper reporter. Intelligent and successful, Jade soon receives an assignment like no other. This assignment will lead her into the depths of her destiny. Follow Jade through a web of mystery and love in author Rhonda Braden's newly released novel, Montrose (now available through 1stBooks Library). Set in the Waverly Park community in Nashville, Tenn., Braden's novel is an electrifying read.

Single and attractive, Jade is a fiercely independent workaholic. Haunted by her mother's paranoia, her own loneliness and her fear that she will never find true love, Jade finds she is compelled by the unusual and peculiar assignment her boss, Sean Winslow, has offered her. Great grandson of the original founder and owner of Gazette, Sean's position is topped only by that of his uncle, Robert Winslow, chief executive officer, who orders that the assignment specifically be given to Jade. He has a personal stake in the matter. As the plot reveals itself, the depth of Robert's involvement will crumble Jade's solid foundation.

The assignment involves a ruthless, mortgage lender named Lester Albright, who was found murdered on Montrose St. several years earlier. Albright had committed home equity fraud and renovation scams against Waverly Park residents prior to his death. Someone has now taken over his business and his criminal legacy lives on. The community is now powerless against a force of murder, drugs, money and conspiracy. As Jade unearths the many layers of criminal deceit, she will find startling discoveries about her very own past. Will she survive to learn the whole truth?

Braden was originally born in Nashville, Tenn. She currently lives in Frankfort, Ky., with her husband, Ronald. The couple has one daughter. Braden has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Tennessee State University. Now focusing on her writing career, the author previously worked as a social service coordinator for the metropolitan development and housing agency in Nashville for 24 years.

Montrose is Braden's first published work. She is presently working on a second novel.
