A Fairy Odyssey -- New Novel About Two Fairies on a Quest to Become Angels

DALLAS, March 28, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- On a quest to convince a family to cease hunting animals, two fairies become trapped in a moral entanglement. The Fairies Quest (now available through 1stBooks Library) by Louis Dorfman is a magical, enchanting tale for young adults and children to heighten their awareness towards the feelings and personalities of animals.

Dorfman opens the gate for the reader to enter the fairy domain. Penelope and Bucky were animals during their lives on Earth. Now, they live in the fairy domain, where all fairies take human form. In order for a fairy to become an angel, they must first complete an approved quest on Earth within 100 years of their arrival to the domain. Penelope, formerly a raccoon on Earth, and her best friend, Bucky, once a black stallion, are given permission from the council to commence their quest on Earth. They must seek out the Winston family, enthusiastic hunters, and convince them that it is wrong to kill anything for pleasure.

However, their quest is not without obstacles. Cassandra, a member of the fairies' council believes that the moral values of Earth should not be altered and opposes the quest. Determined to see them fail, she is appointed the supervisor of the quest and causing a myriad of obstacles to hinder them. The obstacles have unforeseen consequences as Penelope and Bucky wrestle with a moral dilemma between completing their quest and the desire to do the right thing. The resolution leads to an exciting and unexpected climax.

The Fairies Quest is a fantastic story of magic, morals and understanding.
